Natural Interment of Ashes

What is an interment of ashes?

This means a person’s ashes are placed in a biodegradable container and buried in a place that friends and family can visit.

As with our main natural burial approach, an interment of ashes can be within woodland or a wildflower meadow. All of our burial options can be attended or unattended.

From £700 (depending on your choices).

What happens at an interment of ashes?

An interment of ashes is very much like a traditional burial, in that the ashes are placed in a plot in either a woodland, where we place a newly planted tree or wildflower meadow setting at one of our sites.

Many choose to have a very informal service to say a few words or no service at all if they have already previously attended a cremation service.

Alternatively, you can have a service – religious or otherwise – at the time of the ashes interment, and as many guests as you wish. The service can include readings, prayers, songs – whichever is most appropriate to the person whose life is being celebrated.

Burying ashes in our woodland or wildflower meadow settings means that you’ll be helping to contribute to the local biodiversity of our sites, while also offsetting your carbon footprint and helping preserve our natural habitats – a fantastic way to honour someone special.
