Can I reschedule a burial or service if bad weather is forecast?

We will generally go ahead with scheduled burials except in the event of extreme weather. Most services will be organised by a funeral director and it is usually their decision as to whether to proceed or postpone — we can be flexible where required.

How long are services allowed to last?

We usually schedule one hour for natural burials, or half an hour for natural burial of ashes. If you think you will need longer than this, please let us know in advance so we can ensure there will be no crossover with other services.

Question 3

How many people can attend a service?

Accepted Answer

We have no formal limit for how many people can attend a service, but we find that when numbers exceed about 100 people this can be a bit more challenging logistically. The main reason for this is available parking and space on site to accommodate everybody. If you think you’ll have more than a hundred people attending, let us know and we can discuss how to help make it work.

Question 4

What do I need to bring on the day of burial or service?

For natural burial of ashes, all you need to bring with you are the ashes (in a biodegradable container) and a cremation certificate, which will have been issued by the crematorium. For natural burial, your funeral director will usually organise everything so there is nothing you’ll need to bring. If you’re not working with a funeral director we can help you work through the arrangements by chatting on the phone or on email.

What are your opening times for visitors?

Visitors are welcome at all our sites anytime, every day. No appointment necessary.

Question 6

Can I leave flowers or other objects at a grave?

Accepted Answer

You’re welcome to leave any cut flowers, but please be sure to remove any cellophane or other non-biodegradable items first. You can plant wildflowers too if you’d like, but these must be native to the UK. We sell wildflower seeds and bulbs if you’d like to get them from us. Please do not leave trinkets or other memorial items.

Are pets allowed on site?

Pets are welcome on site but we do ask that you keep them on a lead and be sure to clean up after them.

Are there toilet facilities on site?

Unfortunately we’re not able to provide toilet facilities at any of our sites.

Is there parking on site?

Each of our sites has parking available for approximately 50 cars.
